Indirect speech: They asked who could speak English. Direct Speech: He said to her, "How did you make it? " Indirect Speech: He asked her how she had done it. กฏของการเปลี่ยน Indirect Question 1. ถอดเครื่องหมายคำพูด (Quotation mark) ออก 2. reporting verb ต้องเป็น ask, asks หรือ asked แล้วตามด้วยคำเชื่อม ถ้าคำถามเดิมขึ้นต้นด้วย Question Word ก็ใช้เชื่อมได้เลย แต่ถ้าคำถามเดิมขึ้นต้นด้วย Helping V. ให้ใช้ if หรือ whether เชื่อม 3. การลำดับคำให้อยู่ในรูปประโยคบอกเล่า ตัดเครื่องหมาย? ออกใส่ full stop แทน 4. มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงสรรพนามให้เหมาะสม และเปลี่ยนแปลง Tense ถ้ากริยานำเป็น Past ใครอ่านมาถึงตรงนี้น่าจะเห็นภาพรวมทั้งหมดของการเปลี่ยนรูปจาก Direct Speech เป็น Indirect Speech แล้วนะคะ จะเห็นได้ว่าไม่ยากเลย เชื่อว่าจะเป็นประโยชน์มากๆเมื่อต้องนำไปใช้ในการสอบ IELTS ค่ะ ^^ Oxbridge Institute

" Indirect Speech: He asked me where the apples were. – Direct Speech: He asked, "Where are you going? " Indirect Speech: He asked where I was going. – Direct Speech: She said to him, "How did you make it? " Indirect Speech: She asked him how he had done it. Direct and Indirect Speech Direct and Indirect Speech วิธีการนำเอาคำพูดที่ได้ยินมากล่าวถึงอีกครั้งในภาษาอังกฤษ สามารถแบ่งออกได้เป็น 2 ประเภทด้วยกัน คือ Direct Speech คือ การยกคำพูดจริงๆของผู้พูดทั้งหมดมาเล่าให้ฟังโดยไม่เปลี่ยนแปลง โดยอาศัยการนำคำพูดนั้นมาไว้อยู่ในเครื่องหมายคำพูด (Quotation Marks ("…")) โดยมี comma (, ) คั่นกลางระหว่างประโยคที่ยกมาพูดถึง และ ประโยคหลัก โดยประธานที่อยู่ในเครื่องหมายคำพูดจะต้องเป็นตัวใหญ่เสมอ เช่น He said, "I will clean the house. "
Indirect Speech ประเภท Requests, Commands, Suggestions Indirect Speech - Requests, Commands, Suggestions Indirect Speech - Requests, Commands, Suggestions หรือ ประโยคขอร้อง คำสั่ง หรือ แนะนำความเห็นในรูปแบบของ Indirect Speech หลักการเปลี่ยนจากประโยค Direct Speech เป็น Indirect Speech หลักการเปลี่ยนส่วนมากจะคล้ายกับหลักการเปลี่ยนประโยคของ Direct Speech - Statement โดยมีข้อแตกต่าง ดังนี้ 1. เปลี่ยนกริยาหลักให้เป็นคำดังต่อไปนี้ โดยเปลี่ยนรูปคำให้เข้ากับ Tense นั้นๆ ask / asked (ขอร้อง) order / ordered (สั่ง) advise / advised (แนะนำ) propose / proposed (เสนอแนะ) beg / begged (วิงวอน, อ้อนวอน) request / requested (ขอร้อง) command / commanded (สั่ง) tell / told (บอก) forbid / forbade (สั่งห้าม) warn / warned (เตือน) 2. ใช้คำว่า "to + V. 1" เพื่อบอก / แนะนำ / สั่งให้ทำ "not to + V. 1" เพื่อบอก / แนะนำ / สั่งไม่ให้ทำ 3. ถ้าประโยค Direct Speech นั้นไม่มีกรรม ให้เติมกรรมลงไปในประโยค Indirect Speech ด้วย 4. หากมีคำว่า "please" ในประโยค Direct Speech ให้ตัดทิ้ง ตัวอย่างการเปลี่ยนประโยค Direct Speech เป็น Indirect Speech Direct Speech: He asked, "Please let me go to the party. "

เปลี่ยนแปลง Tense 2. เปลี่ยนแปลง Personal Pronoun 3. เปลี่ยนแปลง Nearness เป็น Remoteness 4. เปลี่ยนแปลง Reporting Verb (กริยาในประโยคนำ) Indirect speech สามารถแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ประเภท ตามนี้เลยค่ะ 2. 1 Indirect speech – statements คือการรายงานในรูปแบบประโยคบอกเล่าหรือปฏิเสธ 2. 2 Indirect speech – commands, requests and suggestions คือ การรายงานประโยคที่เป็นประโยคขอร้อง ประโยคคำสั่ง หรือ ขออนุญาต 2. 3 Indirect speech – questions คือการรายงานในลักษณะที่เป็นประโยคคำถาม ลองมาดูวิธีการเปลี่ยนรูปแบบในแต่ละประเภทกันนะคะ หลักการเปลี่ยนประโยคบอกเล่าหรือปฎิเสธ – Statement กฏการเปลี่ยน Direct Statement เป็น Indirect Statement 1. ตัดเครื่องหมาย comma (, ) ออก 2. เอาเครื่องหมายคำพูด(Question mark) ออก 3. จะเติม that หลัง Reporting Verbs หรือไม่ก็ได้ 4. เปลี่ยนสรรพนามให้เหมาะสม 5. เปลี่ยนคำระบุเวลาต่อไปนี้ จาก ใกล้ –>ไกล คำระบุเวลาที่ต้องเปลี่ยนรูปใน Indirect Speech Time Phrase Changes – Direct Indirect Speech คำที่ต้องเปลี่ยนจาก ใกล้ ให้เป็น ไกล ใน Indirect Speech Place-Direct-Indirect-Speech 6. ถ้า Verb ใน Direct Speech เป็น Present ไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนแปลง Tense เมื่อทำเป็น Indirect Speech แต่ถ้า Verb ใน Direct Speech เป็น Present ต้องเปลี่ยนแปลง Tense ใน Indirect Speech เป็นรูปอดีต เช่น Present simple tense —> past simple tense เช่น Direct speech: Kim said, "We work for the city council. "
